Would you like to write a short story, a children’s book, a poem, or a complete novel—but you know very little about how to proceed? Our Introduction to Creative Writing online course delivers the tools and support you need to ignite the writer within.
Immerse yourself in story.
Play with the process of word-weaving.
Invoke the muse and let her run amok!
In this 8-week coaching program, you will be invited into a private online course community. You’ll be given an abundance of ideas to prime the pump of your creative engine.
Put that pen to paper and see what you can come up with.
Fall program starts October 7th, 2019.
pricing from $199 Canadian.
No matter where you are in your writing journey, you’re in the right place. We’ll start at the beginning for those of you who have never put pen to paper creatively before. Those of you who feel a little rusty, we invite you to exercise and oil those writing joints and pick up where you left off—continuing to work on an old project or, perhaps, beginning something new. Those of you who just need a break from whatever gruelling project you’re immersed in—please relax and have fun.
Pull out a new journal or a simple coil notebook. Pen to paper—that’s the best way to access your creativity. Each week you will be given information. There will be questions for you to ponder and prompts for you to consider. You can answer these questions for yourself and post your thoughts if you like. You are also welcome to post questions.
You will be given plenty of prompts to choose from and expected to do lots of writing during the week. You can share your work by posting each week if you want—we would like you to!
Creative Writing is the fine art of making things up. It is writing that is original and self-expressive. Its purpose is to play with language and express ideas, feelings and “truth” of the writer. It can be used solely for the purposes of the writer (as a way to process experiences) or it can be used to connect with the reader in an entertaining way.
