How to Publish a Book in 10 Days
Though I Wouldn't Advise it
Are you ready to move from writer to author?
Do you have a manuscript, collection of recipes, articles or classes you've taught?
Make this the year you publish your work.
It's never been easier.
When your work is ready, it will let you know.
In fact, until you bring it to life, it won't let you go.
When I decided to self-publish my first book, I worked 6 months with a coach. My second book took me 6 weeks on my own. Then I published my third in 10 days. I didn't mean to.
I was walking with a friend who happened to run a magazine. She asked what I was working on and for some strange reason, I commented on a book that had been on my mind but was very much on the back burner. I hadn't even started it.
My friend offered to run an excerpt of the book in the summer edition of the magazine. I said yes, thinking I could get something brief together for the excerpt and then write the remainder of the book while they prepped the magazine for print closer to summer. It was mid spring.
Imagine my surprise when I received an email from her editor asking me to confirm the article for publication the following week!
I scrambled. Focused. Gathered my tribe. Compiled. Cursed. Ate a lot of dark chocolate.
And published the book in 10 days. Truthfully, I wrote and published it in 10 days.
In this course, I share the basic steps involved in publishing a book.
And why you shouldn't rush the process... or go it alone.
Children's book? Self-help? How-to? Memoir?
Whatever your genre, you can bring it to life in the world.
I remember the day my first children's book was printed. It wasn't as much about the book as it was about my daughter. I drove straight from the printers to the school to pick her up. I walked across the field holding the book in my hand. When she saw me, her face lit up and she began to run toward me. She grabbed the book from my hand (no hug or hello) and began reading it while walking to the car. She read it the entire drive home. It was her excitement and how proud of me she felt, that was my most memorable moment of 2017.
Since then, I've self-published 7 books of my own and assisted clients with bringing their books into being.
Though publishing has many steps, and the journey can be steep, it has never been easier to get your unique message or story into the world.

"If you are looking for an Angel to help you with your book – Stephanie is it!
As a new author I have truly enjoyed and greatly benefitted from working with Stephanie. The process and steps to getting me to my goal were laid out very clearly, making the journey seem manageable and gave me the perspective I needed. Every check in we did was always relevant to where I was in the process, as Stephanie was able to sense and anticipate where I was and what would be next. I highly recommend working with Stephanie, as you will receive the much needed guidance and support!"
